For Campground Owners and Managers

We have assisted the Hospitality Industry since the late 1970s.  SummerShine Resort Ministry Staffing has helped place hundreds of staff in dozens of resorts across the USA.  Whether developing a program for a new property or assisting owners with finding managers, recreation directors, or summer staff members, we approach each resort selected with the goal of making it even better for our camping families!

Current Options:

CLASSIC

Summary: SummerShine recruits and gives training to members of your seasonal staff led by an Activities Director (AD) and team for approximately 8 to 12 weeks (subject to availability). We provide training and ongoing support to your AD and SummerShine staff.

Staff sizes of a typical team:

  • 1 to 4 people
  • 5 to 8 people
  • 9 to 12 people

You Provide:

  • SummerShine Fee, plus expenses (varies depending on size of staff)
  • Specific training for your resort based on jobs filled.
  • Hourly wages for SummerShine staff (32-45 hours per week)
  • Housing, utilities, etc. for staff
  • Travel expenses for those travelling over 100 miles to your property
  • TLC for your staff: encouragement, guidance, etc.
  • All items needed for activities (PA system, materials, etc.)

 

HYBRID

Summary: SummerShine recruits your Activities Director (AD), or a leader team, and assist you in screening local applicants to join your SummerShine staff.  We provide training and ongoing support to your AD.  We also provide tips to help you identify local prospects for hiring.

You Provide:

  • SummerShine Fee, plus expenses
  • Hourly wages for AD (35-45 hrs per week)
  • Housing, utilities, etc. for AD
  • Travel expenses for AD
  • You also provide support for local staff commuting and living at home, TLC for AD and staff, encouragement, guidance, etc.
  • All items needed for activities (PA system, materials, etc.)

 

SPECIALTY

Summary: SummerShine recruits your Activities Director (AD), or married couple.  Our leader(s) will lead summer activities for your guests and work alongside your additional staff.

You provide:

  • SummerShine Fee, plus expenses
  • Hourly wages for AD or couple (35-45 hrs per week)
  • Housing, utilities, etc. for AD
  • Travel expenses for AD
  • All items needed for activities (PA system, materials, etc.)

 

CONSULTING SERVICES

  1. Property development suggestions
  2. Locate manager applicant candidates
  3. Develop your recreation program
  4. Retooling your resort after a change in owners, management, crisis, etc.
  5. Team building, atmosphere changing, goal setting
  6. Advisory guidance on special needs or specific concerns
  7. Setting priorities
  8. Crisis management – Assisting your resort when coping or recovering from a tragedy, scandal, etc.
  9. HR Insights
  10. Other items as needed

You provide:

  • Hourly consulting fee
  • Travel expenses for consultant to and from your property as needed (Contracted on a monthly basis)
